I’m pretty much without words for this one, but I’ll try.
Way back in 2009 when I daydreamed about being a photographer I found Jen Sherrick’s website and instantly adored her work. She was shooting genuine lifestyle photography well before it became the industry it is today. Her work is colorful and fun, classic, and sentimental.
So it was both terrifying and elating to have her contact me for a family session this fall. There were so many things that pushed me outside my comfort zone for this session. It was an urban session which always presents unique challenges (cars primarily, lol), her kiddos aren’t toddlers, so my ridiculous noises and silly jokes might elicit eye rolling, and lets be honest, She’s JEN SHERRICK, so I was nervous!!
That all went out the window when we met for our session, though. It’s easy to see why she gets such natural expressions in her work. Her personality immediately sets you at ease. Her husband is funny and her kids are delightful. Each with different personalities and that magic sibling connection that meets teasing with adoring somewhere in tangible and sparkling.
I am so grateful for our time together. I hope you feel as beautiful as you are, Jen.
