If there’s anything I know for sure, it’s that magic is in the everyday. When your children have grown, you will remember the little everyday moments. Sitting on the couch watching Dora. . . again, when she simply wouldn’t wear pants for like a month. When they fit in the sink for a bath. I can tell you this with complete confidence because I know. When I look at the growing face of my fifth grader I see tiny pieces of her toddlerhood and it both makes and breaks me in split seconds. You will be proud of your school age kid. You will be enchanted as your preteen becomes a person with wild and amazing ideas. You will never stop being in MAD love with them. But there is something about the little years. I wish I had photos like this of my family at these ages. This session was a heartfelt one for sure.
Happy Birthday, Reed. You were a warrior from the beginning.
