This is my brother’s amazing family. He’s really my step~brother, but that’s not how we roll. When I got married my “little brother” wrote my husband and I the most thoughtful letter. He made note of how proud he was of us and the people we had become. It was written with such wisdom and maturity beyond his years. It makes me tear up to think about it now, as my heart is so full with pride of who he and his wife, Lauren have become. High school sweethearts and college best friends, these two have made being together forever look easy. It was Lauren’s O.B. mom who delivered my Finley, and when he became seriously ill directly after birth, Lauren dropped everything and flew from D.C. to stay with my girls while Steve and I were at the hospital. She is a wonderful Aunt and has become the most ahh-azing friend. These two know how to have a good time and live life to the fullest. Family & friends first. I adore them. And Daphne…she just about breaks my heart with cuteness. She’s smart and funny and has the sweetest routine of sitting quietly at the top of the stairs at night, just listening to the grown ups and cuddling big bird. She melts me.

This location has such strong sentimental ties for my brother and his childhood. I am so glad we could capture Daphne enjoying the same place. I know these images will hold meaning and emotion for a lifetime. I heart you guys!
