I’m such a sentimental person. Part of this job I love most is getting to know kids and families. Being real with them and knowing them well allows them to relax in front of my lens and really be themselves. That’s where we catch the magic of childhood, family, & love. As you know, I don’t feel like the photographs of everyone smiling at the camera tells much of your story. Your story isn’t the one day when mom picked out scratchy fancy clothes and yelled at everyone to sit still, look at the camera, sit up straight, and smile. Your story is the way your husband looks at you when you’re looking at your daughter. The way your son laughs ’till tears when you use that one silly voice. The way your children love & drive each other crazy. The look she gives when you call her name just before she runs away laughing at the game of chase she’s created. While the days of parenting sometimes go slowly, the years go way too fast and you need to capture it. It’s your story. Their story. Your family.
The Roseberry Family is one of those familes I don’t have to pose. They just naturally play and snuggle and enjoy each other. Krista even rewarded the kids with a carmel apple after a great sunset session at the orchard. This was one of my favorite fall days this year. Thank you for choosing me as your family photographer. Watching your children grow is just so much fun.
